30th April 2009

April closed with just about the lowest number of moths caught during the entire month - just 5 individuals of 5 species. Two were new for the year however. Spruce Carpet is difficult to separate from Grey Pine but has a distinctive white outline to the central cross-band:


Grey Pug is difficult to separate from pretty well every other pug but I'm happy there is sufficient detail on this fresh moth to allow identification:
