15th June 2009

Another cool night but two species added to the year list.

Barred Straw:

Scarce Footman:

And there was this brown form of the Diamond-back Moth:

14th May 2009 - nighttime

With heavy rain forecast I put the MV just inside the garage door - as it transpired there was very little rain so I ended up with a reasonable catch with several year-firsts.

Celypha lacunana:

Yellow-barred Brindle:

The Lychnis:

Elachista maculicerusella:

Not new for the year, but at least photogenic this time, Plutella xylostella - the Diamond-back Moth:
Other trap highlights (125w MV):

The Streamer - 1
White Ermine - 2
Rustic Shoulder-knot
