Another good night for moths rarely seen in the garden with a second record of Acleris cristana and the first Six-striped Rustic since 2013.

A second garden record of Square-spotted Clay was the highlight of another busy night (400+ moths of 63 species), along with 2nd garden record of Six-striped Rustic. Gold Spot was the fourth record this year and there was a fifth White-point.

It took six years but at last I'm able to tick off one of the commoner moths missing off my garden list - Six-striped Rustic. It arrived early in the evening along with large numbers of the usual suspects - the total ended up at 330 moths of 36 species. New for the year was a very smart Frosted Orange.
