A very poor night with just 6 moths across 2 traps. Happily this Merveille du Jour was one of them - the first record here since 2011.

Another warm but clear night and once more the hoped for migrants stayed away. Compensation this time came in the form of a stunning Merveille du Jour - just the third record for the garden and the first since 2009.

After nearly two weeks of mostly reasonable trapping conditions but small and rather dull catches, finally a Merveille du Jour makes it all worth while. Only my second garden record, the previous one was in 2006.
