A beautiful, freshly-emerged Double Square-spot was one of the highlights from last night and, as usual, I tried very hard to string it into Triple-spotted Clay. A good look at the hindwing proved it to be DS-spot however.

A warm, dry night gave up a good haul of moths - 186 of 71 species. Best of the lot was the gelechid Eulamprotes wilkella, just the second VC31 record and supposedly a coastal species:
