A slightly cooler night and fewer moths in the trap as a result - 190 of 66 species, and still hardly any micros.

The second garden record of May Highflyer was the pick of the bunch with the annual Garden Tiger a close second.

I only put the trap out as the weather forecast made it look like the only trappable night over the coming week - so I was delighted when the last moth that I pulled from the trap this morning was a rather battered May Highflyer and a first for the garden.
